

Sam passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Sam was born October 27, 1946 in Jacksonville, FL to the late Erquet and Eleanora (nee Kelley) Morrow. Sam graduated from Gordon Military School and attended Univ. of S. FL and N. FL Comm. College before joining the U.S. Army. Sergeant Morrow served from 1966-1969 in Seoul, S. Korea and Knoxville, TN. After service, Sam attended the Univ. of N. FL. During his career as a home builder/developer, Sam formed his company, Florida’s Preferred Homes, in 1991. He was honored by the HBA of Central Florida as local Builder of the Year in 1987 and elected President in 1990. In 1995, Sam was honored by the FHBA as state Builder of the Year. Sam was dedicated to providing Central Florida families with safe, affordable housing. To provide the dream of home ownership, Sam worked tirelessly on the William E. Sadowski Affordable Housing Act which passed in 1992. Sam loved UF Gator football and everything SEC, quoting scores and replaying downs with life-long friend Larry Coleman (Helen). Sam is survived by his loving wife Deborah Henderson Morrow; mother and father-in-law Johnie and Mary Perry; daughter Lisa P’Pool (Russell); sons David Lamm (Jennifer) and Brian Lamm; cat baby Gabby; grandchildren Olivia Russell (Daniel), Isaac Newby, Justine Lamm, Ian Lamm, Adam Lamm and Michael Lamm; great grandchildren Hadley, Maggie and Gatlin Russell; sisters Nancy Morrow (Don Herndon, dec.) and Carol Brown (Trent); niece Gracie Cumbie; nephew Christopher Cumbie (Raquel); great niece Aaliyah Cumbie; aunt Francis Kelly (Bo); many cousins and friends. Services are Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015 at Baldwin-Fairchild East Altamonte Chapel, 994 E Altamonte Dr., Altamonte Springs, FL. Visitation at 11 AM, funeral services at 1 PM. Internment will immediately follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park, 2300 Temple Dr., Winter Park, FL.
