My thoughts and prayers are with Vicky, Mekhi and Isaiah. I know how much your family meant to you. I will never forget our childhood memories growing up together in Hampton Green attending the same high school, hanging out at my grandparents shop, riding bicycle throughout the town, playing football, dominoes, etc. The last time we played dominoes together you gave me a six love partnered with  Chucky. I will never forget the joy it brought you knowing the calibre player I was and that you finally gave me a six love. I always had an amazing time with you and your family and appreciated the opportunity and time spent together. I will continue to be there for your family.

My most fondest memories of you is when we would travel to Jamaica to visit, all I wanted to do was chill with my Island Bredda. You took me under your wing, as a Brother should. Your loyalty and dedication to ensuring that I was taken care of was paramount. During my teenage years you were my confidant, a friend, and my Guiding Star. One thing is for sure you rocked the latest gear without apology and I was right behind you peeping your style. We bonded by playing video games and watching YO MTV Raps and Rap City after school. You would also allow me to borrow and listen to your latest Stone Love Cassette Tapes cause nobody coulda tell mi seh I wasn’t a Yaadie and those sound clashes were always a Vibe!

I am forever grateful to you and for the impact that you made in my life, I am so proud that you were chosen to be my Brother. Though you are no longer present in the physical I know that your spirit is with me. Rest in Eternal Power Shelly. My heart is still heavy, but know that my Love for You will never depart.

Having Sheldon in my life taught me how to be an Aunt, to love and care for someone younger than myself, as I was  the youngest child in the Mudie household, when his Dad brought him home to live with us. Sheldon loved and adored his grandparents so much that almost every weekend his parents would make the journey from Brown's Town, St. Ann to Spanish Town to visit them after crying for his Grandpa especially. He had a special bond with his Grandpa who after having five children of his own, Sheldon was the only child at this point whom he had ever changrd a diaper for. My parents loved and raised him as their very own. I remember my father having to have an operation done, and he was leaving for the hospital, and Sheldon who was still very young realized that he could not go with him. Sheldon was inconsolable, crying out Papan! Papan! over and over as his Grandpa left the house. Grandma was the only one whom he listened to, to trust and believe that Papan would be home soon.
Sheldon had a beautiful and caring spirit, and I loved him more as my little brother than as a Nephew. I will miss him and I will love him always. May his soul rest in peace.

From Mommy-    ◦    Sheldon Mudie is the third child for Pauline Andrews and the late Donald Mudie. Sheldon was born on September 6, 1976. He was chubby baby, with a sweet, smiling face and spirit who walked at 11 months He was raised by his paternal grandmother and grandfather, Mr. and Mrs. Mudie when he was 10 years old Sheldon then came to the.  United States and lived with his mother, Pauline Andrews, and stepfather George Andrews in Tampa Florida@ 16 years old.
    ◦    Sheldon excelled in all he did especially track and field. 
    ◦    While attending Bloomingdale high school in Valrico Florida he joined ROTC. However, he received this most important education from his mother and stepfather who taught him honesty, good work, ethics, and common sense.
    
    ◦    He struggled with health issues from teenager to adult hood. He was a generous person and has been a survivor through his entire life. Sheldon enjoyed time with his older brother Gregory, his sister, Nicole, and his youngest sister, Carlene. He enjoyed a good relationship with friends he met at the Caribbean domino club, in Tampa where he enjoyed playing dominoes. Our hearts are truly broken and filled with grief and sadness but……

Dear Vicky,  we are all the poorer for Sheldon's passing.  A vacant place now exists where once he stood.  Now that space will be forever filled with the memories that you and he created with everyone who knew and loved him.
