Terry Thompson

After graduating from high school, Terry got her AA degree at Averett College in Virginia, her BA at FSU, and her MA at UCF. She went on to teach elementary, middle and high school. While teaching at Lake Mary High School, Terry became an assistant basketball coach and learned to drive a school bus so that she could transport the team. She decided to join the National Education Association’s internship program and became a uniserv director for the teachers’ union in Colorado, as well as Palm Beach and Seminole counties.

Following her sense of adventure, she travelled throughout the US, Europe, South America and Costa Rica. Terry learned to fly a plane, went snow skiing and even rode a mule to the bottom of the Grand Canyon.

After retiring Terry met her husband, Ed Beaupre, and shared his love of sailing. Together they sailed from Maryland down the coast of the US and around the tip of

Florida.

Terry is survived by her husband and many loving friends who miss her deeply.

A memorial service and reception will be held at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home located at 994 E Altamonte Drive, Altamonte Springs, FL 32701 on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at 3:00 PM.
