Her family would encourage her to try new things such as music, inventing, and of course art. Alice and her family moved to Clarendon in 1941. That is where she met a very dapper gentleman with sky blue eyes by the name pf Dalton Lee Melton who would later become her husband and the love of her life together they had three children and adopted two. They spent 59 wonderful years together until Dalton passed away in 2001.
After Dalton’s death with her family by her side she pursued her great love of art as a way to comfort her great sorrow. Alice often said “I could always see a picture in my mind of what I want to paint”. Her family was very important to her and cherished every moment they were blessed to spend with her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
