Betty Jean Bryant, age 84, of Amarillo, Texas passed from this world January 20, 2025. She was born August 4, 1940 in Adrian, Texas to Forrest and Beulah Walker. Betty graduated from this life and entered the Kingdom of Heaven to be with her lord and Savior, Jesus. Although life was never easy, she always had a smile, loved being happy and bringing happiness to others, loved being surrounded by family and friends, and loved life! Her humble roots, began as the daughter of a hardworking, dry land wheat farmer on the family farm located between Vega and Adrian, Texas. A true Texas panhandle pioneer. The farm was originally homesteaded by her grandfather who had migrated from Missouri. Betty transitioned to Amarillo city life in 1948. She married Ted Bryant in 1953. She was the youngest mother in Amarillo when she delivered her 1st baby. At the age of 20, she had a large family of 5 children. To provide for their needs, she babysat 5 to 6 extra children and provided clothes ironing services. Betty was excellent at sewing. After having raised her children, she pursued her high school degree and received her GED high school equivalency in 1972. As she began a career, Western Merchandisers provided her the opportunity. She worked diligently filing record albums. The real benefit came when she got the chance to meet the country recording artists. Her children and grandchildren will always have fond memories of listening to her singing Patsy Cline while riding in the car. What a beautiful voice! Striving to do more, she pursued an opportunity at Owens Corning Fiberglass Manufacturing Plant. She successfully advanced to the position of print shop manager and retired after 25 years. After the loss of her husband, she began a loving relationship with Ronnie Post who became her life partner and fellow adventurer. Together, they travelled and enjoyed life. Casinos, zooming around on her mobility scooter, Skip Bo, and ocean cruises. All of which brought her great joy. Betty's positive outlook, kindness, generosity, caring, love, and laughter will be greatly missed by the many who shared their life with her.
