Billie Frances Hooper, 88 passed away February 7, 2012 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Memorial Park Funeral Home, Chapel of Memories, 6969 I-40 East Amarillo, Texas 79118. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home. Billie was born Billie Frances Thompson on February 15, 1923 in Midlothian. She married Bart M. Hooper on February 1, 1948. Bart preceded her in death on January 18, 1966. Billie graduated from St. Paul’s Nursing School in Dallas in 1946 and had been a resident of Amarillo since 1951. She worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Amarillo until she retired in 1985. She is survived by three daughters, Diane K. Hooper-Comer and husband Lacye of Amarillo, Lena Danyce Uhlig and husband Clem of Richardson and Donna R. Fischer and husband Gary of Miles; granddaughters, Laci Comer of Louisville, Kentucky, Jennifer E. Demas of Keller and Traccy N. Fischer of Ozona; and grandson, Justin Fischer of San Angelo
