She was born June 27, 1939 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma to William and Dorothy Jackson.
Carolyn graduated from Sand Springs High School in 1957, she then studied Bible and music at Amarillo Bible Training in 1960. On August 5, 1960 she married the love of her life, Lalon Savage, building a life together until his passing on August 10, 2021. Carolyn worked for Amarillo Medical Services as an office manager from June 1981 to June 2001. In the early 1970’s she made costumes for the Amarillo Little Theatre and for the Nutcracker production. Carolyn also worked as a race official at the Amarillo Micro Midget Speedway, was also the editor for “Pit Stop” a national racing publication. She loved gardening, reading, cooking and traveling, was also a member of the Red Hat Club. Carolyn enjoyed many things in life, but her main love was her cats and spending quality time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her son; Scott Savage and daughter in-law Debbie Potts, 3 Grandchildren; Brandon Savage and wife Laura Savage, Ashley Savage and Tiffany Potts, 5 Great Grandchildren; Dylan Black, Emery Rifenberg, Brianna Huffacker, Piper Hawkins, and Daxtyn Savage.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her loving husband; Lalon Savage, her parents; William Guy Jackson and Dorothy Perkins as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
She will be missed by both her family and friends.
