He is now at peace and riding with the angels to Heaven’s gate.
Chuck was born May 9, 1957 to Terry and Ann Dickenson in Torrance California. He lived in several different cities until dad left the Navy and they settled in Tucumcari, New Mexico. He graduated from Tucumcari High School and moved to Amarillo to begin a career in the auto parts business. He married Carol on September 27, 1985 and thus began an adventure of a lifetime. He owned Chuck’s Auto Parts in Canyon, Texas and was widely respected for his expertise. He enjoyed his family, motorcycle riding, camping, classic rock music and Nascar.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Steve Carter.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Carol of Amarillo, 2 sons, Chad Dickenson and fiancée Amber Osborn of Lubbock, Cory Dickenson and wife Tawny of Amarillo, a daughter Ashlynn Hackley of Amarillo, and stepmom Anita Dickenson of Hereford. Also numerous in-laws and friends. Lastly the family cats, Piglet, Pooter, Boogie, Woogie and Bratcat.
The family suggests memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association.
