

Services will be at 2 p.m. today, April 2, 2013, in Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Pioneer Chapel with the Rev. Virgil Hillock officiating. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell St.
Charles Mason Sells Jr. was born April 21, 1936, in Danville, VA. He graduated from Camp Lejeune High School in 1954. He served in the Army from 1954 to 1958. He moved to Amarillo in 1960. He was an insurance agent for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. for more than 25 years before his retirement. Charles was a member of San Jacinto Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, watching sports, and discussing politics, but most of all, he loved his family.
He was preceded in death by a son, Mark Sells; his parents; and a brother, Billy Sells.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Sells; two sons, Ray Trimble and wife Missy of Broken Arrow, OK, and Zachary Sells and wife Chari of Amarillo; a daughter, Valerie Kiper and husband Jim of Amarillo; a brother, Bobby Sells and wife Sharron of Cornelius, NC; a sister, Shirley Coulter and husband Bob of LaFayette, GA; seven grandchildren, Kelsi Kiper, Brett Ryan, Jacee Kuyendall, Sterling Kiper, Triston Trimble, Tyler Trimble, and Roman Sells; and a great-grandchild, Cutter Ryan.
The family suggest memorials to be sent to Hospice Care of the Southwest, 6600 Kilgore Drive, Amarillo, TX 79106.
