

Charles served in the United States Marine Corps from 1942 to 1945 during World War II in the South Pacific. When he returned from the military, he worked with Continental Oil Co., and formed his own, Todd Drilling Company. This led to working with Parker Drilling Company. At this time, he and Lora lived and worked in Pakistan, Kuwait, Indonesia, Singapore and Australia. Here they left a trail of lifelong, loving friends from all around the world. Charles was a man with a servant's heart and loved his volunteer work at the food bank and many friends there. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Amarillo and enjoyed going to Sunday school.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lora; three sons, David Todd and wife Linda of Coppell; their family, Brandi and Michael Todd; Randy Todd and wife Karan of Lubbock; and their family, Bobby and wife Camille and Steven Todd and Rex Striker and his wife, JoAnne of Alabama. The blended family survivors are Doug Vaughan and wife Koebe of Richardson; and their family, Berry and wife Heather, Ashton, Paige, and Harrison Vaughan as well as Martha and John Zumbro and son Zeke of Los Alamos, N.M.; three great grandchildren; his brother, Ralph Todd of Blyville, Ark.; a sister, Dorothy Campbell of Friendswood; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
