Clarence was born on December 19, 1930 to Charles Spears and Barbara Price, in McCurtain County, Oklahoma. He grew up in Ashton, Arkansas and was the oldest of ten children. Clarence proudly served four years in the United States Army during the Korean War. He loved to fish and work in the garden. He was a strong leader, who loved his family and he was a good Christian man. Clarence was a former member of Southwest Baptist Church in Amarillo.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 62 years, Maxine Spears.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Steve Spears, of Amarillo; his daughter, Patricia Kaufman and husband, Keith, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
