

Mr. Ivy was born on August 17, 1938 in Sarah, MS to Isaac and Virginia Ivy. He passed away on May 16, 2014. He married Deloris Green on May 23, 1959 in Wink, Texas, they were married for 55 years. Mr. Ivy was a shop foreman for a machine shop in Garland, TX for 8 years before moving to Amarillo. After moving to Amarillo he worked for Amarillo Gear for 32 years as a machinist before retiring in 2004. He was an assistance scout master for Boy Scout Troop 28 and was also active in the Native American community in Amarillo.
He was preceded in death by his parents a sister, Frances Burks; brother Archie Ivy and brother-in-law, Douglas Dabbs.
He is survived by his wife, Deloris Ivy of Amarillo; sons, Curtis Arnold Ivy and wife Rebecca, Gordon Allen Ivy and wife Noo, both of Amarillo and Prasong Buranakitipinyo of College Station; brother, James Wall of Pearsall, TX; sister, Jacquette Mendez and family of Amarillo; grandsons, Justin Curtis Ivy; granddaughters, Darcey Clegg and Melissa Carlson both of Amarillo; two grandchildren at College Station; also by two great-grandchildren of Amarillo.
