Mrs. Huddleston was born March 11, 1925, in Lambert, Okla., to Chester and Fannie Garringer.
She was a longtime resident of Amarillo for more than 50 years, before moving to Richardson in 1997. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed reading.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Huddleston, in 1986; three brothers; three sisters; and a grandson, Jonathan Abshire, in 1986.
Survivors include four daughters, Sharon Wilhite and husband Steve of Lone Oak, Linda Drees and husband Greg of Amarillo, Gayle Weeks and husband Mark of Elkhart, Kan., and Nicole Huddleston of Nashville, Tenn; a brother, Donald Garringer of Carlsbad, N.M.; three sisters, Joy Schmedel of Amarillo, Dorothy Sue of Arlington and Vera Garringer of Red Oak; five grandchildren, Lynn Tims, Phillip Tims, Ryan DeBault, Michael DeBault and Jeremy Abshire; and 15 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 26, P.O. Box 864, Amarillo, TX 79105; or a favorite charity.
