DR. Walter L Irwin

Dr. Walter Lee Irwin 71, of Quitaque passed away January 21, 2019. He was born January13, 1947 in El Paso, TX to Carl and Scottie Irwin. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He enjoyed hunting, but his passion was taking care of his fellow Veterans. He volunteered at the Veterans Hospital for over 15 years logging in over 2, 000 hours. He was a friend to everyone and was always quick to lend a hand to anyone in need without expecting anything in return. He loved playing and winning 42, he had a competitive nature. He was a very big supporter in High School sports.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife Ann, two brother in laws Charles Elliott and wife Melanie and Bobby Elliott and wife Tammy. Nieces and nephews Taydawn Elliott, Cassandra Irwin, Walter Irwin, Marcus Irwin, Ryan and Celeste Armstrong, Shaun Armstrong, Stephanie Wallick, Tracy Onley, Charles and Melanie Elliott and 25 great nieces and nephews. Along with many, many friends.
