Evelyn Lynn Jones, lovingly known as “Lynn,” passed away peacefully on January 4, 2025. She was born on June 3, 1950, in Memphis, Texas, to Alfred and Angie Mauldin. After her mother remarried, Lynn was raised by Joe Hart, whom she cherished as her father.
Lynn devoted much of her life to being a homemaker and a dedicated caretaker for her daughter, Brandy. She had a deep love for animals, often preferring their company, and found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as scratch-off tickets, reading, watching TV, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Lynn had a meticulous nature when it came to her car, always keeping it spotless, and a remarkable green thumb that allowed her to nurture and grow anything. She had a unique sense of humor, which was reflected in her collection of oversized T-shirts adorned with witty sayings or playful characters. Despite her disdain for the color yellow, she brought color and vibrancy to the lives of those around her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Hart Sr.; her son, Kelley Youngblood; her sister, Mary Campbell; and her brother, Joe Dale Hart Jr.
Lynn is survived by her beloved mother, Angie Hart; her daughters, Angela Youngblood Leal and husband Rowdy, and Brandy Lynn Youngblood; her seven grandchildren, Tiffany Sharpensteen, Andrew Leal, Brandi Leal, Ashley Leal, Matthew Leal, Corey Youngblood, and Cody Youngblood; and three great-grandchildren, Bennett Sharpensteen, Ryleigh Sharpensteen, and Sloan Creamer. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Les Parker, who held a unique place in her heart.
Lynn will be remembered for her loving spirit, her humor, and the countless ways she cared for those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will be treasured by all who knew her.
