
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with the Rev. Larry Bollinger of Wellington Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Ala., officiating.
Bill was a disabled Marine veteran who served in Vietnam. He worked at River Road High School as the head custodian until last year.
Prior to working at the high school, Bill worked at Toot'n Totum gas stations.
Survivors include his wife, Rosa Bollinger; six children, William Bryan and wife Amy, Jonathan Bollinger, Rachele Lunde, Phillip Bollinger, Erick Bryan and Aaron Bollinger; 11 grandchildren, Natasha, Michael, Megan, Rainey, Courtney, Jackson, Nicholas, Victoria, Jordan, Tiffany and Kaitlyn; five siblings, Tom Bollinger, Dawn Traylor, Larry Bollinger and wife Judy, Sharon Vinson and husband Steve, and Terry Bollinger; his stepfather, Leon Easter; his mother-in-law, Georgia Haskins; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Hershel Haskins, Lynn Haskins (widow of Robert), George Haskins and wife LaVon, Mark Haskins and wife Mary, Jerry "Bruce" Haskins and wife Debbie, Timmy Haskins, Chris Haskins and wife Vanessa, and Doug Haskins; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; many friends; and "baby," dog.
Bill's final request was that in lieu of flowers, memorials be to help his surviving family at Herring Bank in Amarillo, where the "George Bollinger Family Fund" has been set up.
