Georgia C. McWatters, 89 of Amarillo passed away March 13, 2013. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Central Church of Christ with Mr. Bob Crass of officiating. Interment will be at Llano Cemetery by Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell. Georgia was born January 27, 1924 in El Dorado, Oklahoma to Robert and Ethel Sain. She married J.A. McWatters on June 13, 1942 in Altus, Oklahoma. Georgia was a homemaker while also working outside the home. She worked for Jack Sisemore Traveland, making curtains for his travel trailers. Georgia worked 10 years for AQHA, at Russell Stover Candy and at Pantex, driving a food truck during World War II. Georgia loved to travel and she adored her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Georgia was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson and five siblings. She is survived by her husband, J.A. McWatters of Amarillo; sons, J.R. McWatters and wife Mary of Amarillo and Phil McWattters of Albuquerque, New Mexico; daughter, Pam Albertson and husband Ted of Amarillo; sister, Marie Toler of Amarillo; also 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
