

She was born July 28, 1938 in Las Cruces, New Mexico to Teodiaso and Corine Chavez. Gloria
grew up and went to High School in Las Cruces. She married the love of her life Roy Goyne in
1965, until his passing in 1995. Together they raised two beautiful children, Michael and April.
After moving several times, the family made Amarillo, Texas their home. Gloria worked as an
Administrator's Assistant for RSVP, a non- profit organization, for over 20 years, her coworkers
soon became family to her. Family was the most important part of her life, always putting
everyone she loved ahead of herself. She was known as Nan or Nanna, either way she would
answer and took pride in doing so. Gloria always had a cheery disposition along with a huge
heart.
She is survived by her son Michael Fielding and wife Jan of Crossroads,Texas; daughter
April Ham and husband Brent of Amarillo, Texas. One brother Phillip Chavez and wife Mary Lou
of Las Cruces, New Mexico. Two sisters Debra Hall and husband Gary of Amarillo Texas, Sylvia
Garcia and husband Joe of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Seven grandchildren, eight great-
grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, seven nieces, two nephews, and many great-
nieces and nephews. Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, and husband Roy Goyne.
She will be truly missed by both family and loving friends.
