Grace left us all too soon. She came into this world to Hazel and Edgar Williams of Canyon, TX on January 23 1946. She graduated from Canyon High School and completed a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education at West Texas University.
She met an older man, a farmer (she said she would never marry a farmer) and, after almost 5 years of dating and alluding Orville’s advances, they married on May 31 1968.
She became a full-time farmer’s wife, teacher, and mother. She played with Regi Fowler and many others from places like Valleyview Jr. High, Western Plateau, Ascension Academy, Travis and Bowie. She accompanied vocal students at West Texas A&M University and was an organist for many churches. She said “accompanying is a great shared experience.” Grace also volunteered for the Suicide Prevention hotline.
She is preceded in death by her daughter Jean Roseann and is survived by her husband Orville, daughter Cesslie and her partner Dean Burns, son Glenn and his wife Hedy Justus, cousins Susan Richardson and Roger Wineinger, and friends the world over.
