DATE OF DEATH: March 19, 2014 Place of Death: Amarillo, Texas

Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 24, 2014 at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Pastor David Schatte of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Directors.

Helen was born August 5, 1922 in Eldorado, OK to Joe and Gertie Williams. She grew up in Oklahoma and in 1943 married Allen Maurice Hale, Sr. The couple lived all over the U.S. and overseas until settling down in Amarillo in 1961. Helen grew up playing and loving sports. She was an avid Texas Rangers and OU fan who enjoyed traveling, quilting, gardening, and eating out. Helen worked at Save A Stop for 14 years and retired in 1983. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be deeply missed.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a sister, 3 brothers and a grandson, Jeffrey “Jeff” S. Jackson

Helen is survived by her son, Allen Hale and wife Pattie of Amarillo; her daughter, Carlene Miller and husband Stan of Amarillo; 2 granddaughters, Cheryl Belk and husband Richard of Hernando, MISS and Monica Hale of Amarillo; a grandson, Nathan Hale of San Francisco, CA; 2 great-granddaughters, Lindsey and Madison Belk; 5 nephews and 5 nieces

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to BSA Hospice or the American Heart Association
