Helen Van Huss

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday March 3, 2014 at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Chris Condit of Hillside Christian Church officiating.

Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 I-40 East.

Helen was born January 5, 1917 in Lincoln County, Oklahoma. She passed away on February 23, 2014 in Woodbridge, Virginia at the age of 97.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Daniel Van Huss; a twin sister, Ellen Johnson; five brothers, Lane, Garland, Pearlie, Walter O. and Paul Trapp; and by a grandson, Dennis Altman.

Survivors include her two daughters, Mattie Altman and husband Donald of Amarillo and Margret Stephens and husband Donald of Woodbridge, Virginia; three grandsons, Daryl Altman and wife Donna, Douglas Altman and wife Tiffany and Mike Stephens and wife Susan of Warrensburg, Missouri; granddaughter, Patricia Antaya and husband Peter of Woodbridge, Virginia; seven great-grandchildren, Danette Fisher, Kim Johnson, Bailey Reynolds, Kara McGinty and Simon, Grace and Samantha Antaya; eight great-great-grandchildren; she is also survived by two sisters, Millie Kemp and husband Clarence of McAlester, Oklahoma and Sandy Garrett and husband Andrew of Tishomingo, Oklahoma and brother, Glenn Trapp and wife Wanda of Durant, Oklahoma.
