James Young

James Eugene beloved Husband, Father, Grand-Father and great Grand-Father left us on April 12, 2018 to walk the streets of Gold with our Heavenly Father. He leaves behind his loving wife of 68 years Anna Lou Bradley Young. Born in Quannah, he moved to Amarillo 65 years ago. He was an avid Quail hunter, loved to bowl and the Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys and NASCAR. Racing was always in his heart and his son-in-law Rick and grandson Brad racing sprint cars gave him a lot of joy and fun times.

He is preceded in death by his son Michael Eugene Young and his parents.

Besides his loving wife he left behind three of his four children; Debbie Kennedy of San Antonio, James and Shannon Young of Amarillo and Betty and Rick Lovelady of Amarillo. He loved all those thing but he was proudest of the six grandkids: Amy and Trey Funderburg, Jennifer and Joe Tindall, Amanda and Justin Ruiz, Russell and Brianne Kennedy, Brad and Lisa Lovelady and Kristen Earn. Along with the grandkids there are 12 great grandkids.
