Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Dr. Howard Batson officiating. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery with Jimmy Sugg officiating. Full military honors will be provided by the Air Force. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40.
Jerry was born Sept. 20, 1942, in Hamilton, N.C. He married the love of his life, Linda, on Feb. 12, 1966, and they were together for 51 years. He served in the Air Force and later worked for the Railroad, before retiring after 30 years. Jerry was an avid reader and he loved to go gambling when he could. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and a sister.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Copeland; a son, Jeremy Wade Copeland; a daughter, Dana Renee Copeland; a brother, Melvin Copeland; a sister, Ruby Lee; four grandchildren, Mariah Copeland and fiancé Richard Gray, Chance, Hanna and Caitlyn Copeland; and a great-granddaughter, Ryleigh Gray.
