Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday March 4, 2014 in Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors Pioneer Chapel with John Love, Pastor of Trinity Fellowship, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements by Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell St.
Juanita Marie was born March 8, 1934, in Gravel Switch, Kent. Mrs. West served in the Army from 1951 until she was honorably discharged in 1954. She graduated from Amarillo College School of Nursing and worked as a registered nurse in the Amarillo area for many years. Juanita will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her brother Melvin Coyle whom she also loved very much as she did all her family.
Survivors include five children, Michael Steward of Lake Worth Fla., Douglas Steward, Tonya Zaid, Jay West and Russell West, all of Amarillo; two sisters, Doris James and Dianne Daniels; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; six nephews; and three nieces.
