Judy Porsch, 85, of Amarillo, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2025. She was born on July 12, 1939, in Hinton, Iowa, to Paul and Zeta Young. As the youngest of three daughters, Judy brought joy and love to her family from the start.
Judy married the love of her life, Ted Porsch, on July 4, 1959, and together they shared 47 wonderful years until his passing on April 20, 2007. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, with her grandchildren being the apple of her eye. Judy worked for over 25 years at St. Anthony’s Hospital and was known for her caring nature and commitment to her work.
A woman of many interests, Judy enjoyed crafting, including ceramics and needlepoint, and loved playing card games and solving puzzles. Her strong family ties were evident, and she was a long-time member of St. Stephens Church. Judy's legacy will live on through her family, who will forever cherish her memory.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ted Porsch, and her son-in-law, Rick Trammell.
Judy is survived by her sisters, Elaine Messerole and Wanda Anderson; her daughters, Pam Rodriguez and husband Juan, Tammy Trammell, and Kenna Borum; grandchildren Jessica Reyes and husband Flip, Calvin Trammell and wife Lacy, Brandon Trammell and wife Trista, Bradley Trammell and wife Macy, Joshua Brown, Jeremy Borum, and wife Andrea, and Jamie Borum; as well as fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, followed by entombment at Memorial Park Mausoleum.
