

Karleen Conner, age 81, of Amarillo, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and loved ones. Born on June 6, 1944, to Karl and Auda Hibbs, Karleen was a spirited, loving, and unforgettable presence in the lives of all who knew her.
On April 28, 1967, Karleen married the love of her life, Roy Conner. Together they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. They were blessed with two children, Leslie and David, and later, grandchildren who became the light of Karleen’s life. She adored spending time with her grandchildren, creating memories filled with laughter, stories, and plenty of jokes. Karleen loved to travel with her family and was always up for a road trip or a new adventure. She had a sharp wit, a playful sense of humor, and never missed an opportunity to tease, laugh, or brighten a room. Her life was marked by deep love for her family, loyal friendships, and a steadfast faith in Jesus Christ.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, Roy Conner; her parents, Karl and Auda Hibbs; and her three brothers, Karl Lewis Hibbs, Robert “Bob” Hibbs, and Jerry Hibbs.
She is survived by her children, Leslie Conner and David Conner and his wife Lisa of Amarillo; her treasured grandchildren, Foster, Dalton and Karlee; along with her extended family and many dear friends. Karleen leaves behind a legacy of faith, laughter, and unconditional love that will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
A celebration of Karleen’s life will be held on Saturday June 21st at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church (555 E Hastings Ave) at 10 am. Visitation will be at Memorial Park Cemetery (6969 I-40 E) on Friday June 20th from 5-7pm.
