Kathleen M Christopher

Kathleen Mary Meeking Christopher, 82, went to meet her Lord and Savior September 20, 2016. Mrs. Christopher was born April 18, 1934 to Tom Meeking and Hilda Adams in Canada. After living in River Rouge Michigan her life's journey brought her to Amarillo in 1963. Kathleen worked for Maywood for several years while putting herself through nursing school at Amarillo College. She received her LVN certificate which was one of her greatest accomplishment. She then worked for the Pavilion and The Occupational Health.

Kathleen had a great love for animals. Through the years she had many dogs, cats, snakes, and even a monkey and pot belly pig.

Kathleen was proceeded in death by her parents, a brother Tom Meeking Jr., a sister-in-law Shirley Meeking, one son Shane Beaudrie and a granddaughter Tonya Huggins. She is survived by two daughters Lindy Craven and husband Travis, Geanea Erdman and husband Garry, two sons Jhanzzen Beaudrie and wife Billie, and Blaze Christopher. She was called Mema by 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. Kathleen also leaves behind a host of friends.

No services are scheduled at this time. Family suggest donations be made to the SPCA and the Amarillo-Panhandle Humane Society.
