Marjorie Loraine Tyler

Marjorie Loraine Tyler, 87 of Amarillo passed away July 16, 2013. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2013 at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Dr. Steven Waterhouse of Westcliff Bible Church officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 I-40 East. Our beloved Marjorie went home to be with the Lord on July 16, 2013. She was born September 26, 1925 in Willmar City, Minnesota to Ole and Nora Carlson. Marjorie was raised in Minnesota and moved to Texas in her mid 20’s. She went to work for Jay Lines Freight Company and then worked for Sav-A-Stop for many years. Marjorie married David Tyler on August 16, 1975 in Amarillo. He passed away in May of 1997. She was a member of the Tascosa Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association. Marjorie enjoyed painting and cross-stitch and was exceptional at both. She was a sweet and gentle person who always had a smile. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David Tyler and two brothers. Marjorie is survived by her brother, Roy Carlson of Minnesota; sister-in-laws, Nadine Carlson of Minnesota, Betty Walters and husband James and their son, Michael all of Amarillo, and Sue Lightfoot and husband Dick of Amarillo; and brother-in-law, Ken Tyler and wife Maribeth of Amarillo.
