

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Amarillo First Family Church with Pastor Billy Nickell officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Borger. Arrangements are by Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell St.
Martha was born Aug. 24, 1929, in Wellston, Okla., to Oliver and Rosa Sapp. She married Charles Gray on Aug. 31, 1947. She attended Draughon’s School of Business and worked for Gibson’s and TG&Y. She and Charles lived in Borger, Fritch and Chandler, Okla.
She enjoyed traveling overseas and had a unique collection of toilet paper from around the world which she loved to show to others. She was a skilled seamstress, making beautiful quilts for her family as well as clothes and toys for her grandchildren. She was involved with many ministries over the years at her church. Her greatest passion was spending time with her family, especially her 12 great-grandchildren; watching their games, going to their concerts and being their ever-willing playmate. Her house was always full of those she loved.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; a daughter, Kathryn Graves; a brother; and a sister.
Survivors include two sons, Troy Gray and wife Linda of Kerrville and Glenn Gray and wife Brenda of Fritch; seven grandchildren, Jason Gray and wife Angie of Amarillo, Mellessa Denny and husband Steven of Amarillo, Leigh Ann Sanchez and husband Rene of San Antonio, Stephanie McLoughlin and husband Jon of Amarillo, Ryan Gray and wife Donnell of Amarillo, Brittnye Chandler and husband Anson and Ashleigh Rozzell and husband Steven of Amarillo; 12 great-grandchildren; Tim Gray, Grant Denny, Bricion Gray, Matthew Sanchez, Kaiden Chandler, Collin Rozzell, Aaron Sanchez, Bradie Chandler, Abby Chandler, Addyson Rozzell, Paxton Chandler and Skyler Gray; and two sisters, Mary Paine of Stroud, Okla., and Mable Schofield of Wellston, Okla.
The family suggests memorials be to Assemblies of God Missions, 1445 N. Boonville Ave., Springfield, MO 65802; Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 3611 Soncy 6A, Amarillo, TX 79119; or Tourette Association of America, 42-40 Bell Blvd., Suite 205, Bayside, NY 11361.
Family visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family will be at 6110 Rutgers in Amarillo.
