Funeral Services will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, September 28, at Caprock Baptist Church with Pastor Jon Watson and former Pastor Gene Foster officiating. A graveside service will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Roberts was born December 29, 1928, in Lake Wales, Florida, and graduated from Lake Wales High School in 1946. She attended business college in Jacksonville, Florida. It was there she met Albert “Chuck” Roberts of Amarillo, Texas, while he was stationed at the U.S. Naval base in Jacksonville.
They married September 20, 1947 in Jacksonville, and soon moved to Amarillo as a couple where they raised two children.
She was primarily a homemaker, but after the death of Chuck, she worked several years for Sav-A-Stop Distribution. She was also a faithful member of Caprock Baptist Church for 56 years. She loved the Lord and one of her greatest joys was teaching the primary age Sunday School classes for most of those years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck Roberts, June 7, 1971, and her son, Dale Roberts, December 25, 2019. She was also preceded in death by her parents Paul and Pauline Hall; brothers, Robert Hall, James Mitchell Hall, Carl Landon Hall, Roy Hall, and sister, Frances Crisp.
Survivors include her daughter, Paula Roberts Rockhold of Amarillo; grandchildren Robyn Faafouina and husband, Pene, of Western Samoa, Shelly Amason and husband, Rodney, of Amarillo, Terri Clark and husband, Keith, of Oakwood, Georgia; great grandchildren Matthew Cates, Cameron Faafouina, Chandler Amason, Cora Amason, and Sallie Amason.
She will be missed by both family and friends
