From a very young age, she displayed a love for music and a natural gift for singing that stayed with her throughout her life. She was part of the first Bel Canto Corale at Amarillo High School in 1950 and later shared her musical talents as a member of the Amarillo Civic Chorus for several years. She taught Sunday School at Grace Baptist Church and worked with the Mother’s Day Out program at Arden Road Baptist Church, touching many lives with her kindness and devotion. She also enjoyed a long career with H&R Block, from which she eventually retired. In her free time, Nancy found joy in sewing, needlepoint, and her unique collection of frogs. She had a special affection for poodles and cared for many over the years, her last beloved companion being Cindy. Nancy was also a devoted and enthusiastic Dallas Cowboys fan.
