Still missing you, Nathan. I remember you as a boy playing basketball, you were always a sweetheart. I remember how excited you were to be a dad, how purpose-filled you were in wanting to find the very best school for your babygirl. We carry you in our hearts

You are always on the edge of my thoughts.  The vacancy of you here on Earth has only intensified your presence in my mind and heart.  I find solace knowing your heart is no longer weary, rejoicing in hope that we will be reunited in the afterlife, and celebrating our time together here.  Grief is no longer a stranger but a welcomed friend.  It’s a reminder life is precious and you are still loved.  Miss you Bubba. 

My dear Husband, how can I find the words to say, how much I miss you throughout every single day!  
I miss your morning texts, our Roaster’s  coffee dates, your laugh, your hugs,  your voice, seeing you enjoying  our little family!  there are so many things I miss about you Nate! We are missing you so much! I cherish and will always be forever grateful for the beautiful memories I have of you! 
And most importantly I want to tell you about Willow. As you already know today is her Birthday! I can’t believe today Is her 6th birthday!! She’s perfect. She makes me so proud. I see so much of you in her. She’s a good one!  I’m so thankful to have this  sweet, hilarious, smart daughter of mine! The one whose  response   is  “I don’t care” if  her shirt is on backwards or her socks are two different colors. The one who would start singing and dancing if she likes a song without caring  where she is  or who’s watching!!  She beats to her own drum and I love the path she’s paving because it’s so unique. I hope she never loses that sense of not caring what others think and charges straight ahead with boldness.  We are missing you so much Nate! You were one of a kind person! Please watch over our Willow bear. I’m sure heaven is such a beautiful place!  I love you! Forever and always in my heart!! 



I miss the sound of your voice son. I loved hearing you say “what ya know Jo?” My heart is broken but my love will always & forever be with you Nathan. 

I miss your hugs.  Not your side arm hug, but your full-on, both arms, squeeze the life out of me hug.  Your niece gives those types of hugs.  Miss you more than one can imagine.

I miss you, Nathan. I miss your smile and I miss your hugs. I miss your sweet spirit. 
We talked about you today in staff meeting about the impact your life made on us and how losing you was so difficult for all of us. You were loved at work so much more than you knew. You used to tell me stories about your daughter. I have a son now and I wish you were still here so we could swap parenting stories. I will forever remember you, until I meet you again one day in Heaven.

I am a co-worker of Nathan's. For the past 7 months that I have worked for Absslc I watched this kind and compassionate guy come on our center and work with the individuals. He was always so warm and so kind to everyone. He was a beautiful soul. Prayers for his wife and daughter and for the rest of the family. 

I wanted to thank each one of you for sharing your memories of Nathan. Your words and stories bring healing, they provide a unique and individual perspective of the person we all loved. Several traveled a good distance to attend the funeral; it was uplifting to meet and visit with those who meant so much to Nathan and filled his days with joy ---fraternity brothers, coworkers, old friends. Thank you

Nathan was one of the guys I helped become a Kappa Sigma at Stephen F. Austin State University. He immediately bonded with everyone and made an impression on me. There was something about him that made me believe that there’s a reason why we meet people at the right time. Although I haven’t spoken to him in a very long time, I’m deeply saddened by his passing. He’s an iconic part of my life, and he will be missed.

Nathan was a co-worker and friend. He was very sweet and always made time to ask how I was doing each day. He always had a smile and I looked forward to his greeting each day. He had such a rapport with the individuals we served and they enjoyed his company. They knew he cared about them. I will miss him terribly. 

Nathan was a friend and co-worker of mine. He was very kind to everyone he encountered, always willing to help, and always had a calming presence about him. He loved his daughter and his wife and had a lot pictures of them at his desk. I always told him he was so blessed to have such beautiful ladies in his life, and he agreed. His desk is directly behind mine, and staring at his empty desk with his pictures still hanging on the wall has been utterly devastating. We placed a birthday card on his desk last week that he will never be able to see. I wish so much that he was still sitting in that chair. Our office will surely never be the same. I have had several people contact me from around campus in complete disbelief asking me if it is really true. It is obvious that he had a huge impact on many people around our campus. The employees and residents at AbSSLC are all better for knowing him. I am thankful for the time we all had with “Nathanielson.”

I went to high school with Nathan and I always remember him as smiling, laughing and there when you needed him! He had a huge heart for others! He will be missed! Praying for you and your family! 

I met Nathan when I was 13 years old in Waco, TX. We instantly bonded over our mutual love of sports, competition, humor and all things young teenage boys enjoy. We became very close friends and spent countless hours battling in 1 on 1 basketball in his driveway at his home off Maple street in Waco. I loved that house and remember drinking ( a lot!) of his Capri Suns and chocolate chip cookies that his sweet mother would always have stocked in the kitchen! Nathan was a big kid and towered over his peers. I remember him shaving in 8th grade while I barely had peach fuzz on my face! He was such a kindhearted and joyful person, full of life and always joking. We constantly spoke gibberish and were always having fun with each other. It was evident we both brought out the goofiness in one another. His nickname was Nate Dogg and I was known as Warren G, famous rappers at that time and we were more than proud to carry the sobriquet. I moved to another school after our freshman year of high school but we always kept in touch and our friendship never skipped a beat when we saw each other. The last memories I have with Nathan was about 7 years ago when he was living in Waco. We met up and went to dinner, grabbed drinks and caught up on life as I hadn't seen him for nearly a decade at that time. He seemed very happy, energetic as always and was passionate about life. He moved shortly after that but we exchanged numbers and would text ever so often. I was notified this morning of his passing and am deeply saddened. I pray for his daughter and family as they mourn. Nate Dogg, I trust you are with Jesus Christ and I'll see you again one day-Warren G.         Revelation 21:4 "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."

Nathan was one of my best friends...we graduated highschool together and hung out alot before he moved away....he was such a great caring guy, he was always looking out for me trying to get me to better myself and my health. I have so many great memories with him. Im am so sorry for your loss.....love you Buuuuuuuddy!

The heart wants to say something, but the words are so hard to find. Nathan worked with me as the department's Speech Language Pathology Assistant. He formed bonds with the people who live at our facility and his co-workers across the whole campus with ease. Staff listened to what he had to say because of his good nature and the respect he always showed. He taught our new employees how to communicate with the residents they would encounter, particularly those who communicate a little differently than the average person. He had unique insights that drew in the new employees in his classes. He impacted more people than he knew with his thoughtful comments. He was always offering to help others even when his day was full. He was complimentary and would take time to ask about my daughter's latest antics. He knew there was nothing I liked to talk about more. This man with 3 first names never made me feel bad when I'd accidentally call him Steven. Several people in our department nicknamed him "Nathaniel" as a lovingly tease and he just patiently smiled every time. The morning after we heard the terrible news, I went to the on-campus diner. I heard the kitchen staff talking amongst themselves in disbelief, trying to sort out whether the Nathan they were informed had passed was the same Nathan they knew. I told them it was indeed and they were distraught. They asked about his daughter and wife because he spoke fondly about them and the sleepless nights that parenting a little one demands. He would joke around and offer to get them anything THEY wanted from the menu. You see, his kindness was intentional and thoughtful. He made every person he encountered feel valued. I hope he knew how special he was. I hope I thanked him enough for his contributions. The atmosphere is not the same without him. He is already missed so much and will continue to be. I will not forget Nathan Stevens and I look forward to seeing him again in Heaven.

Nathan had such a sweet soul, always offering to help with the other therapy disciplines whenever help was needed. We will all miss him dearly and we feel honored to have known him. NayNay as I called him as he called me KK, we will see you again.....

Nathan was my co-worker. He was always friendly and nice. He made sure to always speak and say good morning. I'm always singing, even though I can't, but Nathan would always hype me up. He would say okay (Angie Stone). It made me laugh. He was good person and you felt that in his spirit. He will be missed. 

Nathan stayed at my house shortly after he started working with us in Abilene for several weeks.  He was a perfect roommate. Courteous, helpful, quiet, organized, and no drama.  He asked often about me during my time off after surgery in February, and that meant a lot to me.  He always greeted me with a smile and a hug.  He will be greatly missed.

Nathan was an awesome co-worker with a smile and good morning. He was always brightening peoples days with uplifting compliments. He will be missed greatly.
