Norman went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 12, 2015. His family was very important to him as well as his faith. During his younger years Norman enjoyed playing golf and baseball. He served in the United States Navy for 4 years on the USS Fletcher. Norman was employed with the United States Post Office for 28 years as a letter carrier. For many years, Norman battled Rheumatoid Arthritis which left him disabled. Despite his debilitating disease, his great attitude and faith in Christ is what sustained him. He was a Detroit Lions and a Detroit Tigers fan. Norman will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters 2 brothers
He is survived by his wife Joyce Smallwood of Amarillo; daughter Teresa Smoot and husband John of Amarillo; sons Randy Smallwood and wife Deborah of Knoxville Tennessee; Greg Smallwood and wife Lisa of Melbourne Florida; sister Roxanne Mertz and husband Bruce of Hampton Virginia; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
