Paul A. Kennedy, age 91, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023. Paul was born in Wagoner, OK on June 8, 1932 to Virgil and Jewel Kennedy. He was the oldest of 13 children. Paul met the love of his life in 1950 and they were married July 6, 1950. They had 3 sons and one daughter. Paul loved his family and worked very hard to take care of them. He was the owner of Paul Kennedy Drywall for 45 years and he retired in 1998 to spend time with his wife.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents Virgil and Jewel, wife Retha, daughter Katherine, sisters Viola Williams and Shirley Kennedy, brothers Fred Kennedy and Elvin Kennedy, daughters-in-law Debra Kennedy and Beulah (Debbie) Kennedy, granddaughters Amanda Kennedy and Melissa Bennett, and great-granddaughter Brooke Bennett.
Paul is survived by his 3 sons Kenneth and wife Theressa, Larry and wife Darla, and Terry. Paul had 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Paul has a lot of family and friends that will love and miss him.
A visitation for Paul A. will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 I-40 East, Amarillo, Texas 79118. A funeral service will occur Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 2:00 PM, 6969 I-40 East, Amarillo, Texas 79118. An entombment will follow at 3:00 PM.
Serving as pallbearers are Kevin Kennedy, Kelton Harbison, Justin Kennedy, Christopher Kennedy, Bradley Clark and DJ Clark.
