Peggy Price

Peggy Scott-Price, age 81, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023. Viewing and visitation will be held from 5-7pm, Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Memorial Park Funeral Home in Amarillo, Texas. The family will be having private family services on a different date.

Peggy was born on November 25, 1941, in Booker Texas. She graduated from Amarillo High in 1958. She married Tommy "Tony" Gene Price on January 7, 1960 and together they shared 27 years of marriage. After her husband passed away, she never remarried because her children and grandkids were her life. They had three children together. Peggy was a beautician for many years, even up until she passed away. She was the greatest mom and grandma ever. Nobody ever had to worry about having a home or having food to eat, all you had to do was show up at mama's house. Peggy was also very ornery and would tell you when you screwed up. She enjoyed many interests and hobbies including cross stitching and needlework. She made many Christmas stockings, pictures and shadow boxes throughout her life and she was also a wonderful painter.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Tommy Price in 1987; and her son, Clint Price.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Peggy Nail and husband, Larry, of Edmond, Oklahoma and Donna Price, of Amarillo, Texas; her brother, Lloyd Scott, of Mineral Springs, Arkansas; her seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of extended family members and friends.
