

Graveside services will be at noon Saturday in Fairmont Cemetery in Follett with Clay Wells officiating. Arrangements are by Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell St.
Ray was born Sept. 28, 1923, to Everett Ray Oakley and Arlena Warren Oakley. Ray served his country during World War II as a private first class in the Army Air Corps Glider Division.
Following his discharge in 1946, he married Lottie Mae Haines Oakley in June 1947 in Kansas. Ray worked at El Paso Products Co. in Odessa from 1953 to 1981. Following that, he and Lottie owned and worked farm property in Beaver County, Okla., until they moved to Pampa, then to Amarillo.
He was preceded in death his by parents, his wife, and a brother, Fay E. Oakley.
Survivors include a brother, Wayne Oakley of Laverne, Okla.; a daughter, Janice Oakley of Amarillo; two sons, Don Oakley and wife Liz of Mesa, Ariz., and Bryan
Oakley of Chicago; two
grandchildren, Jonathan Oakley of Alta Mesa, Calif., and Jocelyn Moon of Seattle; two great-grandchildren, Aria Oakley and Grayson Corliss; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Viewing will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
