Renee Rhynehart

Renee Rhynehart, 45 of Amarillo passed away April 3, 2013. Memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 5, 2013 at Hillside Christian Church with Michael Pinkston, Executive Pastor of Castle Hills First Baptist Church officiating and Mike Nuthman of Hillside Christian Church assisting. Arrangements by Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Renee was born in Amarillo on November 26, 1967. She attended Tascosa High School and Texas Tech University. Renee married Chris Rhynehart on July 24, 1993. She was a co-owner of Rhynehart Roofing for the past 20 years. She was a strong supporter of the local arts and served on the board for the Amarillo Little Theatre. Renee also was a strong supporter of the local community and especially fond of the Evelyn Rivers Christmas project. Renee never missed with her special gift of giving to those she loved and cared about, and the best organizer and party planner we’ve ever known! Renee’s special request was to have the most colorful funeral ever (dress accordingly) and an amazing celebration of life party following. (But of course, she loved zebras!) Renee was preceded in death by her two special dads, Luke Wilson and Dennis Thompson. She is survived by her husband, Chris; son, Tyler Rhynehart, daughter and best friend, Abby Rhynehart, mother Voncyle Wilson; brother Randy and wife Gaye Wilson and brother Jerry Thompson and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and host of great friends. In lieu of flowers, Renee’s request was for donations to be made to the Amarillo Little Theatre and Evelyn Rivers Christmas Project.
