

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday March 6, 2015 in Rockwell Road Baptist Church with Dr. Paul Richardson officiating. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40.
Ruby Mae Wilson was born July 16, 1919, in Kansas City, Mo., to Ernest and Agnes Sullivan. She was raised in Kansas City, Kan. Ruby worked in a defense plant during World War II. She moved to Amarillo in 1949 from Kansas City, Kan.
Ruby worked for Maywood Inc. for more than 20 years before retiring. She was a charter member of Rockwell Road Baptist Church. She was an avid bowler for 50 years. Ruby enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family. She never met a stranger and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter Wilson; a son, Thomas Mertz; two brothers; and a sister.
Survivors include her daughters, Judy Smelcer and Debbie Jackson, both of Amarillo; her grandchildren, Chris Smelcer and wife Karen of Leander, Deanna Mutz and husband Allen and Diana Cowan and husband Chris, all of Amarillo, Sam Wohali Jr., Mona Lakewold, Eagle Wohali, Moses Wohali, Hannah Edwards, Naomi Tomlinson, Benjamin Wohali and Robert Wohali, all of Bonner County; and 23 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Rockwell Road Baptist Church.
