

Thomas Robert (T.R.) Langham 95 of Amarillo, Texas died Saturday December 10, 2016. Langham was born September 25, 1921 at Lakeview, Texas to Thomas Albert and Ella Clementine Brown Langham. He served in the U.S Navy during WW II, 1942-1945, serving on the USS Velocity, a mine sweeper. He married Barbara Stansell on April 6, 1946. He worked for the Amarillo Helium Plant and the Helium Terminal Bureau of Mines in Gallup, New Mexico, retiring in 1983. He served as a Deacon in the Church of Christ for many years. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and a friend to many. He also professed a strong belief and love in the Lord Jesus Christ
Langham was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara, after 52 years of marriage; his parents, Tom and Clem Langham; six sisters, Pansy Langham Mounce, Carrie Langham Sparks, Vivian Langham Baker, Kathleen Langham Johnson, Bessie Langham Thoza, and Julie Langham Reel; and two brothers, J.E. Langham and Darrell Langham; and a grandson Nathan Langham.
Survivors include his children, Jackie Lynn Langham and wife Marilyn of Fritch, Paula Kay Bergmann and husband James of North Carolina, and Irma Jean Langham of Amarillo; two granddaughters, Connie Jo Ann Hetzer and husband Jonathan of North Carolina and Julie Langham of Amarillo; great-grandsons, Joshua and Nathan Nickolas of Amarillo, and a great granddaughter , Payton McKensie Hetzer of North Carolina; his brother , Dr. Wes Langham and wife Melba of Amarillo; and a host of nieces and nephews, and a very special friend , Llyne Kennedy of Amarillo.
