Verlene was born to Jesse and Emma Terrell in Memphis, Tx. She was one of 11 children. She loved spending time with her family; they meant the world to her. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, being outdoor and sewing. She was one of a kind and was loved by all. She was a member of Fairview Assembly of God for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Smith; her parents; 2 daughters; brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her daughter Sheila Richardson and husband Randy; grandchildren Sabrina, Donny, Kim, Barbara, Terry and Frank Jr.. Nine great-grandchildren and 12 great- great grandchildren; Sister -in- law Joann Terrell and many nieces and nephews.
