

Florante C. Guzman, 63, of Anaheim, died October 22, 2011, at his home. Mr. Guzman was born July 9, 1948, in Manila, Philippines, to Dr. Francisco and Paraluman (Chanco) Guzman. He attended high school at Ateneo de Manila (Loyola) in
the Philippines. He continued his education at University of the East in the Philippines, graduating in 1969 with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. For the past ten years he has worked as a computer technician for the Anaheim City School District. Aside from his passion for technology gadgets and interest in Filipino entertainment, he also enjoyed videography, cooking, playing computer games, playing the bass guitar, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Rosario; daughters and their spouses: Florabelle and Gino, Florence and Michael; son Gerard; granddaughters Alexis and Alana; brother, sisters, and their spouses: Gerardo and Virginia, Rosalinda and Romy, Marita and Rico, Priscilla and Oly, Marijo and Henry. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Francisco Jr. and his loyal dog Cookie.
