During her long life, she saw many changes to Orange County; she survived the Inglewood earthquake and the Santa Ana River flood. She enjoyed travelling with her husband throughout the United States and abroad. She worked for LNU Coat Front Co. in Los Angeles while her husband worked for the meat packing houses in Vernon, CA.
