Michael Mark Thurber passed away on July 10, 2025, in Anaheim, California. Born in Gray, Maine, and longtime resident of Long Beach, CA, Michael led a life marked by service, dedication, and a vibrant sense of humor that touched everyone who knew him.
A proud veteran, Michael served in the United States Air Force before continuing his career with Air Source Industries. He was known for his warm personality, quick wit, and love of music—often found strumming his guitar or enjoying a game of poker or blackjack with friends.
Michael is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Dr. Annelise Thurber. He was preceded in death by his parents, June Estelle Muzzy Thurber and Lloyd Olsen Thurber.
A Committal Service with military honors will be held on Thursday, November 6th at 10:30 a.m. at the Los Angeles National Cemetery, 950 S. Sepulveda Blvd., Los Angeles, CA.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
