I strongly believe that me and my siblings wouldn’t be as close as we are now and or know how to communicate the way we do if it wasn’t for you coming into our life’s and showing us the love that you did. Tio Oscar, my heart hurts knowing you are gone. Not being able to hear that contagious laugh or your loud ass voice breaks me. I am so blessed to have  known you and I am unbelievably proud to be your first nephew Tio. The amount of joy you brought to this life was incredible, it’s something special. You were a man to look up to and I’ll always do my best to be half the man you were. Truly one of my heros the way you took care of my grandparents and ama was admirable, the way you cared about our entire family and the people around you was insane to most but that’s you, the way you presented yourself could easily speak for itself, your smile that can just turn everyone’s day around man I can go on for fuckin days. You taught me a lot, but I know there was so much more to learn and to hear from you I wish I had one more conversation, but God had different plans. I know you’re at peace and in Gods hands, which gives me some sort of peace. I can’t wait for the day I get to see you again and have that conversation. Until that day Tío I promise I’ll continue to work even harder in your name. I’ll be there for my Grandparents and I’ll be there for my Momma. Like you always told me to. We never thought we would have to say goodbye. Your warmth of your hugs the sound of your laughter will always be a void in our hearts. 

 Doñ Ruben Trevino ( my dad) still talks and laughs about you turning off the lights for the Y2K New Year! You have made such an impression on everyone who has known you. 

Tio and I have many  memories with you. Whether it’s having you help set-up a cell phone for your Tia or talking trash of the rival football teams! Tio will always cherish he was able to text with you one last time .  He will always cherish the Spider-Man comics books and sport team trading cards you gave him years ago. Until we meet again continue to make Heaven dance and laugh!

I’ll never forget your compliments u would give whenever u felt u needed to voice your opinion towards me on how I was raising my lil fam. I always appreciated that coming from you. U spoke from the heart. Because you were a real one carnal.. u well respected amongst your peers and siblings. I’ll miss your cooking/BBQn whenever u came down to visit us in Shafter, Ca  Good times always. This is, without a doubt, one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to face in my life. It’s almost impossible to accept the reality that you’re gone.. that I’ll never get to see you again, hear your chewing, or laugh with you like we used to. I keep wanting to reach for my phone to text you, just to talk crap, like nothing ever changed.

You weren’t just my brother in law.. you were my brother. You always have been, and you always will be. Losing you has left a hole that nothing can fill. It hurts to even say the words out loud.

But even through the pain, I find comfort knowing that you’re in a better place.. at peace, free from everything that ever held you down. I hold onto the hope that one day, we’ll see each other again. And when that day comes, make sure you’ve got a taquiza waiting for us.. just like old times.

I miss you more than words can say, Oscar. I promise you will never, ever be forgotten and I will always take care of your sister. Even though you’re no longer here with us physically, your presence, your laughter, and your spirit will always live on in our hearts.

Oscar there are no words that are going to make me feel any better. It's been so hard just to express myself. Heaven 💔they say there is reason, they say time will heal. Neither can change the way I feel. Gone are the days we shared, but in my heart you're always there. I miss you  more than anyone knows. My heart is filled with so much sadness knowing you’re not here with us. I will miss you deeply, Oscar—your smile, your hearty laugh, your quick wit, the way you give a side eye look before you laugh, seeing what fancy shoes you’d wear next, but most of all, your immense heart of gold, full of kindness and generosity.

So many memories I will cherish—like when you would be grilling and, even though you hated it, you always set aside a slightly burnt piece of carne asada just for me. Or that day the family gathered at the park for a BBQ and soccer—we spotted you and my mom walking far beyond the park gates, and when we asked where you’d gone, you said, “We went to pick nopales.” I still laugh every time I think about it.

My heart is deeply broken and I mourn the loss of My beloved nephew, Oscar. Words cannot express the pain and sorrow that fill my heart. Oscar was more than just a Nephew - he was light, laughter, and love in human form. His presence brought warmth to every room, and his smile had a way of making the world feel brighter.

Though my heart is broken that I can no longer see or talk to him, My love for Oscar will never fade. His memory will live on in my heart and in the countless lives he touched with kindness and joy.

While the ache of missing him feels unbearable, I find comfort in faith — believing that this separation is only for a short time. One day, I will see him again, and that reunion will be filled with endless love and peace.
