Alton Harris

Alton Dale Harris passed away on Sunday, 4/23/2023 at his home in Des Moines. A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 4, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Iowa Veterans Cemetery, 34024 Veterans Memorial Drive, Adel, Iowa.

Alton was born in Guthrie Center, Iowa on December 26, 1964, to Charles and Sandra (King) Harris. He served in the United States Army. Alton was stubborn, but selfless and put others before himself. He was strong-willed and always driven to make big plans and get things done. Alton was a great storyteller and loved to joke, laugh, and have fun with his family. He enjoyed sports, especially football. His cooking and grilling were a favorite of his families and they loved his chili.

Alton always had good advice to give, whether you wanted it or not. It was that good ole Dad advice. He was a great friend, and loving husband and father; he was the rock of the family!

Alton is survived by his wife, Adelina Navor-Satana; children, Johnathan Harris and Leslie Navor; stepson, Adam Nolte; and sister-in-law, Paula Nabor. He was preceded in death by his parents.
