Diane Christine Bickford

Diane Christine (Thimmesch) Bickford of Washington, IN passed from this life to the next on Friday morning, November 30, 2018. There will be a visitation at the Ankeny Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm. Her funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Our Lady's Immaculate Heart Catholic Church in Ankeny. Her wishes were to lay at rest with her mother and father in Des Moines.

Diane was born in Des Moines on December 20, 1948 to Donald and Cecilia Thimmesch. She graduated from Ankeny High School. Diane was an energetic person, as well as a caring wife and mother of three. She worked at Dillow's Grocery Store in Ankeny for a number of years and also as a teller for Old National Bank in the Washington, IN area.

Thanks to all family, friends, and caregivers for your thoughts and prayers as Diane fought through these last few years with the terrible disease (dementia). The family requests that any remembrances of Diane be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation for research.
