Jacob Lee Greenfield

Jacob was born March 26, 1978 on Easter Sunday to Debra (Jaacks) and Roxy Greenfield in Ames, Iowa. He was baptized at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Webster City, Iowa. Jacob was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ellsworth, Iowa. Jacob graduated South Hamilton high school in 1996. After high school, he attended Iowa State University, which never stopped him from cheering on his favorite team, the Iowa Hawkeyes. Jacob worked at Principal Financial Group for many years, most recently as a Dental Claims Analyst. He resided in Ankeny, Iowa, close to his family.

Jacob enjoyed watching movies, reading, playing video games and collecting coins. He loved spending time with his nephews, taking family trips, and studying his family’s history. Jacob always brought laughter with his quick wit and sense of humor.

Jacob was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Edwin Greenfield and Della Johnson; and maternal grandfather, Robert Jaacks.

Jacob is survived by his maternal grandmother, Norma Jaacks (Webster City); parents, Deb and Roxy Greenfield (Ankeny); sister, Kelly Ahrens and her husband, Matt, and their children, Dane and Hayes (Ankeny).

There will be a private family funeral service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Ankeny Funeral Home care of the Greenfield Family. The family will be donating memorials to a charity of their choosing.
