Nicole "Nikki" Marie Boehm

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Historic Dodge House at Camp Dodge, 7105 NW 70th Street, Johnston, Iowa, 50131. Inurnment will be held at the Oralabor Cemetery at a later date.

Nicole “Nikki” Marie Boehm was born on September 5, 1978 to James Fidler and Nancy Boehm in Des Moines, Iowa. She graduated from Ankeny High School in 1997. Nikki was a HVAC Tech for the State of Iowa in the Department of Public Defense.

Nikki enjoyed watching football and her favorite teams were the Iowa Hawkeyes and the New York Giants. She was truly a jack of all trades and was known to fix all of her families plumbing, HVAC, and electrical issues. Nikki loved space and the stars and knew many of the stars and constellations. She liked to watch scary movies and spend time reading, especially books by Dean Koontz. Nikki dearly loved to spend time with her dog, Spencer. She was the glue of her family and loved them fiercely. Nikki would not turn down a good adventure with any of her family members. She had a way of commanding the room when she walked into it. She never knew a stranger and was a pride and equal rights advocate. Nikki loved working with her hands and was always busy fixing anything from cars to home repairs. She was ecstatic to enter her Aunt Nikki era.

Nikki is survived by her father, Jim and his wife, Susan Fidler; her mother, Nancy Boehm; her siblings, James Boehm, Grant Fidler, Caroline and her husband, Cody Thompson, and Isabelle “Izzy” Fidler, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Jennie Tscherter; paternal grandparents, Paul and Mary Boehm; paternal grandfather, Robert Fidler, and her aunts and uncles, Steve and Carol Tscherter, Roger Tscherter, Donna Johnson, and Jeff Tscherter.
