Rita Chapman, 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 17, 2014. Private burial will take place at the Oralabor Cemetery in Ankeny. Rita was born and raised in Bronx, New York. She married John Chapman in 1970 and they resided in Ankeny, IA. She and John were avid campers and enjoyed the outdoors. Most of all, Rita enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Rita is survived by her children: Michael (Norma) Stoll of Peosta, IA; Jeffrey (Wilma) Stoll of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Robert (Denette) Stoll of Polk City, IA and stepson, Robert (Bobby) Chapman of Osceola, IA; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and special friends, Janet, Donna and Barbara along with her special feline friend and companion, Cissy Anne.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; parents Louis and Fannie Silverstein; brother Stanley Silverstein and grandsons Todd Sloane and Mathew Stoll.
