Sandra Sue Pieart

Sandra Sue Pieart, 63, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Taylor House Hospice surrounded by her loving husband and family. A visitation will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M, Sunday, August 28, 2022 at Ankeny Funeral Home.

Sandra was born on June 1, 1959 in Des Moines IA to Robert and Shirley Sherod. She completed her education at East High School. Sandra worked in food service which she enjoyed doing for many years, including: Chi Chi’s, Sambo’s, Bohemian Club, Embassy Club, and Eurest USA (Wells Fargo Food Service Location). Sandra was united in marriage to John Brian Pieart on October 28, 1990.

Sandra loved working on household projects ( or any project for that matter), decorating during all holidays, camping, playing with her dogs (Pip and Bogie) spending time with family and her grandchildren ( Whom she thought walked on water). She loved her husband John dearly, especially their alone time, their camping trips and projects they did together. She loved Italian food and one of her favorite snacks was brie cheese with toasted almonds on bread or crackers.

Sandra was a hardworking, strong willed woman. She was a Christian and had her faith in Jesus Christ. Her gifts to others would always be made with her own two loving hands, her ability to imagine anything and make it a reality, and her endless love.

Sandra is survived by her husband, John Pieart, sons: Chris (Amanda) Belcher of Des Moines, Joshua Belcher of Des Moines, Benjamin Pieart of West Des Moines, five grandchildren and one great grandchild; siblings, Mark Sherod of Adel, Robert (Erika) Sherod of Tulsa, OK and Karen Sherod of Des Moines. Along with many cherished Nieces and Nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Sherod and Shirley Sherod and her brother, Randy Sherod.
